Crucibel is a healthcare technology company building Nova - a unified healthcare infrastructure designed for hospitals, pharmacies, laboratories and diagnostic centers. Healthcare in Kenya is delivered by extraordinary people working with fragmented digital tools. Patient records are scattered across disconnected systems. Hospitals, pharmacies, laboratories and diagnostic centers often operate in isolation, creating gaps in information, duplicated work, operational inefficiencies and unnecessary administrative burden. Many existing systems are difficult to trust, difficult to scale and fail to provide the visibility healthcare organizations need to operate effectively.

We believe healthcare providers should spend their time delivering care, not struggling with fragmented systems, missing records, inefficient workflows, compliance challenges, inventory leakages, reporting burdens, or disconnected data. Our mission is to create technology that simplifies operations, improves coordination and enables better healthcare outcomes. Our Journey

From vision to venture

Nova has evolved through several phases as we refined our product, tested our assumptions and worked closely with healthcare teams to address their day-to-day challenges. These milestones mark our journey from initial idea to a comprehensive platform designed for the realities of healthcare delivery in Kenya.

2023
The foundation of Crucibel began when our co-founders started collaborating remotely, driven by a shared belief that healthcare and operational software should solve real-world system inefficiencies, not create new ones.
2024
Development began on Nova HIE, a healthcare platform designed to address fragmentation in medical data access and care delivery. During this phase, Wycliffe Abok, a medical doctor, joined the initiative and helped shape the product around real clinical workflows and decision-making processes.
2026
Crucibel established its first office in Nyali, Mombasa in December, expanded its engineering and product team and officially launched Nova HIE as its first commercial healthcare SaaS platform.
